The Mission Board will host a FUNdraiser—emphasis on fun!—at Blue Moose Sports Pub in Cascade on Tuesday, October 24, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Feeding America West Michigan, the local branch of a national non-profit food distribution organization.
Stop by after work for a quick drink and appetizer, or stay for dinner and enjoy the evening with great company. Bring the whole family, and feel free to invite friends to join us, too.
Blue Moose is co-owned by Ada Congregational member Jason Starr, who has graciously offered to give 10 percent of the evening’s proceeds to Feeding America.
Our church has a long history of supporting Feeding America through donations of service, as well as money, in the process helping get food to thousands of needy families in our region. It is a terrific cause to spotlight Mission Board’s focus on Fighting Hunger, and it is a perfect way for us all to participate in the UCC’s emphasis this month on Love of Neighbor—one of the 3 Great Loves.
Blue Moose is located at 6240 – 28th Street, S. E., Grand Rapids, 49546.
We look forward to your support, and to seeing you on the 24th!
